Declaraci\u00f3n del Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (DHS) sobre el procesamiento de los residentes actuales del campamento de Matamoros a los Estados Unidos<\/h3>\n

A partir de esta semana, con el apoyo del Gobierno de M\u00e9xico y organizaciones humanitarias internacionales, los Estados Unidos comenzar\u00e1 a procesar a los actuales residentes del campamento de Matamoros en M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n

Recientemente, el campamento de migrantes en Matamoros se ha visto afectado por el clima extremo en el norte de M\u00e9xico. Mientras el presidente Biden contin\u00faa reconstruyendo el manejo fronterizo de la naci\u00f3n de manera en que refleje los valores de los Estados Unidos, se ha convertido en una prioridad abordar las necesidades humanitarias en Matamoros. Trabajaremos conjuntamente con el Gobierno de M\u00e9xico y los socios en el lugar para facilitar el procesamiento seguro de los residentes actuales del campamento que califiquen para este programa. Los reci\u00e9n llegados al campamento de Matamoros no podr\u00e1n ingresar a los Estados Unidos a trav\u00e9s de este proceso limitado.<\/p>\n

Este registro y proceso se realizar\u00e1n lo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido posible, con estricto cumplimiento con los protocolos de salud y seguridad, y se les dar\u00e1 prioridad a los m\u00e1s vulnerables para revisi\u00f3n inmediata. Cada individuo cumplir\u00e1 con todos los controles de seguridad necesarios, al igual que con las pruebas de COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Esta acci\u00f3n es la siguiente fase \u00a0del compromiso de la administraci\u00f3n Biden-Harris con un proceso de migraci\u00f3n seguro, ordenado y humano, mientras contin\u00faa aplicando estrictamente nuestras leyes de inmigraci\u00f3n y medidas de seguridad fronterizas existentes.<\/p>\n

El gobierno, en todos los niveles, ha sido claro: las personas no deben creerles a los traficantes ni a quienes afirman que la frontera est\u00e1 abierta. La Administraci\u00f3n har\u00e1 cumplir las leyes de inmigraci\u00f3n existentes.<\/p>\n

Como recordatorio, las personas no deben acercarse a la frontera, incluso en los puertos de entrada designados, a menos que, y hasta que sean aprobados y reciban informaci\u00f3n sobre la cita a trav\u00e9s del proceso de registro virtual. DHS Statement on Processing Current Residents of the Matamoros Camp Into the U.S.<\/h3>\n

Beginning this week, with the support of the Government of Mexico and international humanitarian organizations, the United States will begin to process current residents of the Matamoros camp in Mexico.<\/p>\n

The migrant camp in Matamoros has recently been hard-hit by extreme weather in northern Mexico. As President Biden continues to rebuild the nation\u2019s border management in a way that reflects America\u2019s values, addressing humanitarian needs in Matamoros has become a priority. We will work in partnership with the Government of Mexico, and partners on the ground, to facilitate the safe processing of current camp residents who qualify for this program. New arrivals to the Matamoros camp will not gain entry into the United States through this limited process.<\/p>\n

This registration and process will be done as quickly as possible with strict enforcement of health and safety protocols and the most vulnerable prioritized for immediate review. Every individual will complete all necessary security screening, as well as testing for COVID-19.<\/p>\n

This action is the next phase in the Biden-Harris administration\u2019s commitment to a safe, orderly, and humane migration process, while continuing to strictly enforce our existing immigration laws and border security measures.<\/p>\n

The government \u2013 at all levels \u2013 has been clear: Individuals should not believe smugglers or others claiming the border is now open. The Administration will enforce existing immigration laws.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, individuals should not approach the border, including at designated ports of entry, unless and until they are approved and receive appointment information through the virtual registration process.\u00a0 Due to the current pandemic, travel restrictions at the border remain in place and will be enforced.\u00a0 Physical presence at a port of entry is not the way to gain access to this phased effort to draw down the MPP program. If individuals believe they were enrolled in MPP, they may register at\u00a0https:\/\/conecta.acnur.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n
